Impression by AlbaStrix Impression by AlbaStrix
With this one, I had some good fun with a fur brush that I made myself! (even though they're feathers) This was my first owl in Corel Painter. This was originally going to be my ID, but I decided against it.

Made mainly with an acrylics brush, an acrylics variant over it, and an impressionist brush for the background.

really nice, I like how the background reminds of feathers ^^

That brush looks just perfect as for freathers middle between the eyes ohhh~!

also nice choose of colours, you used brown palette very well :)

Thank you; I used the colors from my reference and then just increased the contrast before I painted it to make it more interesting.

I just LOVE those feathers between the eyes because they're so FLUFFY!!! And it can kind of look like hair. :/

The background was actually me trying out the impressionist brush . . . it has a jitter on it that makes random splotches in varying colors as you drag it, and so I thought I'd make it like a wind or something in the background . . .

You're welcome

like a wind you say.... I think if less contrast and definitely longer lines, then, yes, it would be like blowing wind, but because of contrast and shape I can't see any other option as feathers...
especially that you used the same thing on owl's wing.

Thanks a lot! I still think I have a lot to improve on, though. :D
